Preity Zinta Completes Filming Lahore 1947: Calls it Her Toughest Project Yet

Preity Zinta, set to make her return to the silver screen after six years with “Lahore 1947,” has wrapped up filming for the movie. In a heartfelt Instagram post, she expressed gratitude towards the entire cast and crew, including director Rajkumar Santoshi, producer Aamir Khan, and her co-stars Sunny Deol and Shabana Azmi.

The actress shared glimpses of the wrap-up celebration on set, along with candid pictures with the team, creating a buzz among her fans. “Lahore 1947” is a highly anticipated project, especially since it marks Preity Zinta’s comeback in a significant role.

In her thank-you note, Preity mentioned that “Lahore 1947” has been her toughest film yet, praising the dedication and hard work of everyone involved. She specifically thanked Rajkumar Santoshi, Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol, Shabana Azmi, cinematographer Santosh Sivan, and music maestro AR Rahman for their contributions to the film.

The film also features Sunny Deol’s son, Karan Deol, in a critical role, confirmed by Aamir Khan in March. Aamir expressed his delight at Karan’s performance during the testing phase, highlighting his natural innocence and dedication to the role of Javed.

“Lahore 1947” brings together the successful collaboration of Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol, known for their previous hits like “Ghayal,” “Ghatak,” and “Damini.” With Preity Zinta’s return to the screen and the promising ensemble cast, the film is expected to garner significant attention from audiences.
