Kapil Sharma Teases Janhvi Kapoor About Boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya on 'The Great Indian Kapil Show'

In the upcoming episode of “The Great Indian Kapil Show,” actors Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao join comedian-host Kapil Sharma to promote their latest film, “Mr and Mrs Mahi.” A newly released promo promises an entertaining episode, filled with candid moments and playful banter, particularly focusing on Janhvi’s relationship with Shikhar Pahariya.

The trailer, released on social media by the show’s creators, gives a glimpse into the fun-filled episode. It starts with a game of dumb charades where Janhvi tries to explain something to Rajkummar, making funny expressions in the process. She humorously requests Kapil not to include her awkward gestures in the trailer.

In another segment, Kapil asks Rajkummar about his experience working with Janhvi. Referring to their previous collaboration in “Roohi,” where Janhvi played a ghost, Kapil humorously questions whether she scared him more as a ghost or as a wife in “Mr. and Mrs. Mahi.” Rajkummar wittily responds, “Whether it’s a ghost or a wife, it is the same.”

Kapil also teases Janhvi about her rumored relationship with Shikhar Pahariya. He playfully asks if she would prefer a life partner with similar interests or “jis Shikhar par aap aaj hai,” leaving Janhvi blushing and the audience in splits.

The promo also features a segment on Janhvi’s swayamvar and Krushna Abhishek’s naughty banter with the guests. Sharing the promo, Netflix wrote, “Get ready for sixers of laughter as Mr. and Mrs. Mahi, aka @janhvikapoor and @rajkummar_rao, meet Kapil and his gang. Watch #TheGreatIndianKapilShow this Saturday 8 pm, only on Netflix.”

More About the Film

“Mr and Mrs Mahi” is backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and directed by Sharan Sharma, known for “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl.” In this sports-romance film, Janhvi Kapoor plays the role of a doctor who pursues her love for cricket, inspired by her husband, played by Rajkummar Rao.

Janhvi underwent two years of rigorous training for the role, overcoming several injuries, including a shoulder dislocation. The film’s title pays homage to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the beloved former captain of the Indian cricket team, known as Mahi. It is believed that the film will honor Dhoni’s legacy in a special way. “Mr and Mrs Mahi” is set to release on May 31.

With its intriguing storyline and stellar cast, “Mr and Mrs Mahi” promises to be a significant addition to Bollywood’s lineup this year. Fans can catch more about the film and enjoy the humorous exchanges on “The Great Indian Kapil Show” this weekend.
