Gurucharan Singh, known for his role as Roshan Sodhi in the popular TV show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ (TMKOC), has been reported missing for a week. The 50-year-old actor’s disappearance has led to an FIR being filed, with multiple teams working to locate him.
Interestingly, Gurucharan Singh had once been approached for the reality show ‘Bigg Boss.’ In a past interview with ETimes TV in 2021, he revealed that discussions were underway for him to participate in season 15 of ‘Bigg Boss,’ as well as ‘Bigg Boss OTT.’ However, the plans did not materialize, and Gurucharan shared his experience, stating, “I don’t know, they wanted me in Bigg Boss, whether it is true or not I don’t know.”
Beyond his television career, Gurucharan Singh ventured into films and made his debut in 2018 with a Punjabi movie titled ‘RIPS Damanjeet Singh Sodhi.’ Speaking about his journey, he emphasized being a “self-made actor,” navigating his career without any godfathers but with perseverance and faith.
Regarding his exit from TMKOC in 2020, Gurucharan cited personal reasons, including his father’s surgery and other undisclosed matters. While rumors circulated about payment delays, he chose not to comment directly on those speculations, preferring to focus on moving forward positively.
The recent turn of events surrounding Gurucharan’s disappearance has prompted authorities to take action. The Delhi Police Special Cell has initiated an investigation, with an FIR filed under Section 365 (abduction). According to reports, Gurucharan was last seen near the Delhi airport on April 22, carrying a backpack. His father lodged a missing complaint when Gurucharan failed to reach Mumbai as planned and remained unreachable via phone.
