Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan is making headlines with his upcoming comeback in the Netflix series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” directed by renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. However, Fardeen recently revealed an intriguing anecdote from the early 2000s when he faced rejection from Bhansali, describing it as a “brutal” but necessary experience.

In a candid interview with Pinkvilla, Fardeen shared his meeting with Sanjay Leela Bhansali years ago, expressing his desire to work with the acclaimed director. However, Bhansali’s feedback at the time was straightforward. Reflecting on the incident, Fardeen expressed gratitude for the learning experience and the opportunity to collaborate with Bhansali on “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.” The series, set to premiere on May 1, features Fardeen Khan in the role of Wali Mohammed, marking his return to the screen after a hiatus.

“Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar” boasts a star-studded cast, including Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Segal in pivotal roles.
