Ghaziabad Man Arrested for Booking Cab from Salman Khan's Home Under Gangster's Name

A 20-year-old man from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, was arrested by Mumbai police for booking a cab from Bollywood star Salman Khan’s residence using the name of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The incident, initially treated as a serious security concern, turned out to be a prank orchestrated by the accused, identified as Rohit Tyagi. This article delves into the details of the incident, including the police’s response, the accused’s arrest, and the heightened security measures around Salman Khan following past threats.

In a peculiar turn of events, Mumbai police arrested a 20-year-old man from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, for booking a cab from actor Salman Khan’s residence under the name of notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The incident, which occurred at Galaxy Apartment, where Salman Khan resides, raised immediate alarms prompting swift action from the authorities.

According to police reports, the accused, Rohit Tyagi, made the booking from Salman Khan’s house to the Bandra Police Station. However, his prank was short-lived as the vigilant cab driver, upon reaching the destination, informed the watchman, who then promptly alerted the nearby Bandra Police Station.

Upon interrogation and digital tracking, Rohit Tyagi was identified as the culprit behind the booking. Mumbai police revealed that the accused confessed to the prank, clarifying that it was done in jest and not with any malicious intent.

Subsequent investigations led to Rohit Tyagi’s arrest in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He was then brought to Mumbai and presented before the court. The court remanded him to Bandra Police custody for two days for further questioning.

This incident comes amidst heightened security concerns surrounding Salman Khan, who has faced threats from gangsters like Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar since November 2022. In response to these threats, Salman Khan’s security detail has been upgraded to Y-Plus, allowing him to carry a personal firearm and providing him with an armoured vehicle for added protection.

The recent firing incident outside Salman Khan’s residence, which led to the arrest of two individuals connected to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, further underscores the seriousness of security threats faced by celebrities.

Salman Khan’s brother, Arbaaz Khan, issued a statement expressing the family’s concern over the incident and their cooperation with the Mumbai Police in the ongoing investigation.
