Ajay Devgn and R Madhavan starrer “Shaitaan” has stormed into the limelight with its impressive performance at the box office. Directed by Vikas Bahl, the horror thriller has garnered significant attention since its release, captivating audiences with its chilling narrative.
Following an impressive opening, “Shaitaan” witnessed a notable surge in earnings on its second day at the box office. According to reports from Sacnilk, the film amassed a staggering ₹18.75 crore on Day 2, propelling its total collection to ₹33.5 crore. This remarkable feat underscores the movie’s growing popularity among moviegoers.
Notably, “Shaitaan” experienced an uptick in Hindi occupancy on Day 2, with figures rising to 33.65 percent compared to 25.70 percent on the opening day. This increase reflects the growing intrigue surrounding the film and its gripping storyline.
Produced collaboratively by Ajay Devgn, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, and Jyoti Deshpande, “Shaitaan” is the Hindi remake of the acclaimed Gujarati-language film “Vash,” released in 2023. The movie revolves around the timeless battle between good and evil, as a family endeavors to protect their possessed daughter from malevolent forces. With R Madhavan portraying the role of a devil incarnate and Ajay Devgn alongside Jyothika portraying the characters of a married couple, the film promises a spine-chilling cinematic experience.
The special screening of “Shaitaan” held on March 7 witnessed the presence of cast members and their families. Jyothika’s husband and acclaimed actor Suriya took to Instagram to express his pride and support for his wife’s endeavors, highlighting the significance of her role in the film.
