Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, one of over 7,000 distinguished guests invited, shared heartfelt moments from his visit to the newly-constructed Ram temple in Ayodhya. The actor took to social media to post pictures of himself standing with folded hands in front of the consecrated Ram Lalla idol. The idol was officially consecrated at the temple during the ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony on Monday, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance.
In his post, Bachchan expressed his devotion, writing, “Bol Siya Pati Ramchandra Ki Jai,” as he paid homage to Lord Ram. The megastar’s visit to Ayodhya was not only marked by his interaction with the divine but also by an exchange of pleasantries with Prime Minister Modi during the grand event.
In a video shared by news agency ANI, Prime Minister Modi warmly greeted the 81-year-old actor, who was accompanied by his son, Abhishek Bachchan. The respectful gesture between the two iconic figures highlighted the significance of the occasion.
Adding to the buzz surrounding Amitabh Bachchan’s connection with Ayodhya, reports suggest that the Bollywood icon has purchased a plot in a seven-star enclave in the city. The Mumbai-based developer, The House of Abhinandan Lodha (HoABL), has not disclosed the plot’s size and value. However, sources indicate that it spans 10,000 sqft and is conveniently located approximately 15 minutes away from the Ram temple.
The consecration of the new Ram Lalla idol at the Ayodhya temple was a momentous occasion led by Prime Minister Modi. Describing it as the “advent of a new era,” the 51-inch idol depicts Lord Ram as a five-year-old child. Dressed in a yellow dhoti with a golden crown and necklaces, the idol holds a golden bow and arrow, symbolizing the divine presence in the revered city.
Amitabh Bachchan’s connection to Ayodhya, both spiritually and through real estate, adds a unique chapter to the unfolding story of the Ram temple, emphasizing the profound impact of the historical and cultural milestone on the lives of individuals, celebrities, and the nation as a whole.
