Mahesh Babu's "Guntur Kaaram" Trailer Unveils Intense Drama and Emotional Undertones

Amidst mounting anticipation, the veil over Mahesh Babu’s latest venture, “Guntur Kaaram,” directed by Trivikram Srinivas, has been partially lifted with the release of its much-awaited trailer. The teaser provides a glimpse into a narrative steeped in emotional depth and intense action sequences, leaving fans eager for more.

Despite the trailer maintaining a shroud of secrecy around the storyline, it showcases Mahesh Babu, essaying the character of Ramana, in his element, delivering powerful dialogues and effortlessly executing action-packed sequences. The teaser also introduces pivotal characters, hinting at an emotional saga revolving around Ramana’s familial relationships.

Ramya Krishnan’s portrayal as a mother who seemingly abandoned her eldest son, presumably Ramana, sets the stage for an emotional rollercoaster. Sreeleela, depicted as the love interest of Ramana, and Jagapathi Babu in the role of her father, add further depth to the narrative teased in the trailer, suggesting an intricate emotional backdrop.

In “Guntur Kaaram,” Mahesh takes on the character of Vyra Venkat Ramana Reddy, alongside Sreeleela as Keerthi (Ammu) and Meenakshi Chaudhary as Raji. The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Jayaram, Easwari Rao, Prakash Raj, Sunil, Brahmanandam, Mahesh Achanta, and Raghu Babu in pivotal roles.

However, the film’s journey to the screen has been tumultuous, with changes in the cast and script. Initially, Pooja Hegde was slated to portray Sreeleela’s role, while Mahesh was intended for Meenakshi’s character, but alterations led to Hegde’s exit from the project. Notably, the script underwent significant revisions, resulting in reshoots to align with the modified narrative.

Despite the excitement surrounding the film, its musical offerings have garnered mixed reviews, with “Dum Masala” receiving acclaim while “Oh My Baby” and “Kurchi Madathapetti” faced criticism for lyrics and musical composition.

Scheduled for a Sankranthi release on January 12, “Guntur Kaaram” braces for a theatrical clash with Teja Sajja’s “HanuMan.” Additionally, subsequent days witness the release of Venkatesh’s “Saindhav” on January 13 and Nagarjuna’s “Naa Saami Ranga” on January 14. However, Ravi Teja’s “Eagle,” initially planned for January 13, has been postponed to February post a producers’ council meeting in Hyderabad.
