The report specified modifications such as changing a word to ‘immigrants’ in the initial sequences and altering scenes featuring Shah Rukh Khan’s character, Hardy, riding a horse during his wedding. Notably, an essential scene now includes a statutory warning against considering suicide as a solution to problems.
The certification, issued on December 15, comes following the submission of documentary evidence for the factual accuracy of statistics included in the film. As detailed on the censor certificate, “Dunki” spans a runtime of 2 hours, 41 minutes, and 24 seconds, equivalent to 161.24 minutes.
