Shah Rukh Khan Makes Third Devotional Visit to Vaishno Devi Ahead of 'Dunki' Release

Renowned Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has once again embarked on a spiritual journey to Vaishno Devi ahead of the highly anticipated release of his upcoming movie ‘Dunki.’ This marks his third visit to the revered shrine this year, continuing what appears to be a pre-release ritual that has seemingly brought him immense success in the past.

Accompanied by his entourage of bodyguards and managers, Shah Rukh Khan was spotted walking the sacred cobbled paths of the Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu. Maintaining a low profile, the actor donned a black puffer jacket with the hood drawn up, blending into the crowd of pilgrims. Among his companions was his manager, Pooja Dadlani, as seen in a video shared by news agency PTI.

This spiritual visit holds significance as Shah Rukh Khan has previously followed a similar routine before the release of his films. Notably, a year ago, on December 12, he visited Vaishno Devi prior to the release of ‘Pathaan,’ which turned out to be a massive success, crossing the remarkable milestone of ₹1000 crore in global earnings after his four-year hiatus from the big screen. Following this tradition, in August, he revisited the shrine before the release of ‘Jawan,’ a film that soared to a staggering ₹1100 crore worldwide, emerging as one of the most commercially successful Hindi movies ever made.

Shah Rukh Khan’s next cinematic venture, ‘Dunki,’ helmed by the acclaimed director Rajkumar Hirani, is slated for release on December 21, where it is set to clash with Prabhas’ ‘Salaar.’ Continuing his pattern for this year’s film releases, Shah Rukh Khan has refrained from engaging in promotional interviews or visits for ‘Dunki.’

The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring prominent actors like Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover, alongside Shah Rukh Khan. ‘Dunki,’ presented by JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films, is produced by Rajkumar Hirani and Gauri Khan.

Penned by Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani, and Kanika Dhillon, ‘Dunki’ narrates the tale of four friends embarking on an ambitious journey to foreign lands in pursuit of their dreams. Rooted in real-life experiences, the film weaves together disparate stories of love and friendship, promising an emotionally resonant and transformative cinematic experience.

As Shah Rukh Khan venerates Vaishno Devi ahead of ‘Dunki’s’ release, fans and the industry alike anticipate another monumental success, potentially adding another ₹1000 crore to the star’s box office legacy.
