Deepika Padukone Unveils 'Singham Again' Cop Look, Celebrities React with Excitement

Bollywood sensation Deepika Padukone is all set to make a prominent appearance in Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again,” and she recently unveiled her striking cop character, Shakti Shetty. Sharing two intense photos of herself donning a police uniform and confidently wielding a firearm, Deepika took to Instagram to introduce her character. This revelation has ignited a buzz among fans and fellow celebrities, with Ranveer Singh, Janhvi Kapoor, and Alia Bhatt expressing their excitement.

In the first image, Deepika’s character is seen with a revolver, playfully putting it inside the mouth of a man while grasping his hair. The backdrop depicts chaos, with scattered bodies and car wreckage, alongside a burning building. In the second photo, she holds the pistol close to her face, exuding confidence and adding to the enigmatic aura.

Among the reactions, Deepika’s husband, Ranveer Singh, couldn’t contain his enthusiasm, commenting, “Aag laga degi (She will burn it down)” and accompanying it with a series of fire emojis. Janhvi Kapoor and Alia Bhatt also chimed in, using explosive head and fire emojis to express their admiration for Deepika’s cop avatar.

Ranveer Singh, not to be outdone, took to his own Instagram to share Deepika’s posters with a spirited message: “AALI RE AALI… LADY SINGHAM AALI !!!!! (Fire emojis) SHAKTI SHETTY has arrived in the Cop-verse!!!!!”

Earlier reports in August had hinted at Deepika Padukone’s pivotal role in the film, marking her entry into Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. She is set to become the first female cop in Shetty’s cinematic world, with an intriguing character arc that positions her as Ajay Devgn’s sister in the film. The role is described as more than a mere cameo, requiring Deepika to devote 35-40 days to its filming.

Rohit Shetty and Deepika Padukone have previously collaborated on the 2013 action-comedy “Chennai Express,” and their partnership continued with the recent song “Current Laga” from Shetty’s upcoming project, “Cirkus.”

“Singham Again” promises to be a significant addition to Rohit Shetty’s cop franchise, and Deepika Padukone’s involvement has piqued the curiosity of fans and the film industry alike. The film is expected to deliver an action-packed and thrilling experience, enhancing the beloved cop-verse created by Shetty.
