Trevor Noah's Bengaluru Shows Cancelled Due to Technical Glitch, Fans Left Disappointed

International comedian Trevor Noah’s highly anticipated shows in Bengaluru took an unexpected turn as they were cancelled last minute due to technical difficulties. Fans who had eagerly gathered for the performance were left disappointed after the show faced several challenges, including a delayed start and audio problems.

The show, which was scheduled to commence at 7.30 pm on September 27, began almost 30 minutes late. However, the problems didn’t end there, as the performance had to be cut short due to issues with the venue’s acoustics. Many audience members reported that they were unable to hear anything clearly.

Trevor Noah promptly addressed the situation on his social media platform, expressing his regrets for the inconvenience caused to his fans. He also announced the cancellation of both shows scheduled at the Manpho Convention Centre on September 27 and 28.

In his tweet, Noah stated, ”Dear Bengaluru India, I was so looking forward to performing in your amazing city but due to technical issues, we’ve been forced to cancel both shows.”

He went on to explain the situation further, saying, ”We tried everything but because the audience can’t hear the comedians on stage there’s literally no way to do a show. We’ll make sure all ticket holders receive a full refund, and again I’m so sorry for both the inconvenience and disappointment. This has never happened to us before.”

Fans who had made the effort to attend the show were understandably frustrated and voiced their displeasure. Many criticized the event’s organizers for mismanagement, citing issues such as inadequate parking, poor air conditioning, overcrowded venues, and narrow access roads.

Social media was flooded with comments from disappointed fans, some of whom shared videos showing the comedian’s arrival on stage followed by his swift exit due to audio problems. Others humorously quipped about the unexpected turn of events, with one user joking, ”Bengaluru wanted to experience Trevor Noah, but Trevor Noah ended up experiencing Bengaluru.”

Notably, Trevor Noah had kicked off the Indian leg of his ‘Off The Record’ tour with a performance at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on September 22, followed by two more shows in Delhi on September 23 and 24. The Bengaluru shows were a highly anticipated part of his tour, which was set to continue with performances at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai on September 30 and October 1.

Prior to his India tour, Trevor Noah expressed his excitement, saying, “After a lifetime of loving India’s culture, I’m so excited to finally have the privilege of bringing my current stand-up comedy tour to one of the most exciting countries in the world!” However, the unexpected turn of events in Bengaluru left both the comedian and his fans disappointed.
