Superstar Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film Coolie finally has a release date, and fans are already marking their calendars. On Friday, Sun Pictures officially announced that the action-packed entertainer will hit theatres worldwide on August 14, 2025, just ahead of India’s Independence Day.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the production house dropped the exciting update with a fiery caption that read, “Sound-ah yethu! Deva Varraaru #Coolie worldwide from August 14th.” The announcement came with a brand-new poster featuring Rajinikanth in a fierce, bearded avatar, setting the tone for another high-octane spectacle from the megastar.

The sequel will see the return of director Nelson Dilipkumar and music composer Anirudh Ravichander, reuniting with Rajinikanth and Sun Pictures.
