Diljit Dosanjh Sidesteps Telangana Govt's Directive with Creative Lyric Changes, Fans Celebrate His Wit

Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh showcased his wit and adaptability during his Hyderabad concert, tweaking lyrics of his popular songs to adhere to a directive from the Telangana government. The notice had prohibited songs promoting alcohol, drugs, or violence, but Diljit found a way to keep his fans entertained without violating the rules.

Diljit’s Ingenious Lyric Tweaks

During his performance at GMR Arena on Friday, Diljit altered the lyrics of his hit songs, much to the amusement of his fans. In his track Lemonade, the original line, “Tainu teri daaru ch pasand aa Lemonade,” was humorously changed to “Tainu teri coke ch pasand aa Lemonade.” Similarly, in 5 Taara, he switched “5 Taara thekke utthe” to “5 Taara hotel ch.”

The singer, known for his sense of humor, was seen laughing along with the audience as he delivered these modified lines. Videos of the concert went viral, with fans praising his quick thinking and creativity.

Fans React to Diljit’s Gesture

Social media was abuzz with reactions from fans. One user wrote, “Telangana Government really thought they could water down Diljit’s vibe. The joke’s on them — he just cracked open a coke and kept the party going!” Another commented, “Bro cooked Telangana govt so bad.”

Many applauded Diljit for complying with the legal guidelines while keeping the energy high, with one fan declaring, “He proved he is the Greatest Of All the Times.”

The Government’s Directive

The Telangana government had issued a notice restricting Diljit from performing songs that promote alcohol, drugs, or violence. The directive followed a complaint from a Chandigarh resident who submitted video evidence of Diljit allegedly performing such songs during a concert at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.

Additionally, the notice, issued by the District Welfare Officer of the Department of Welfare of Women and Children, Disabled and Senior Citizens, Rangareddy, barred children from appearing on stage due to concerns over loud sounds and flashing lights during the concert.

About the Dil-Luminati Tour

The Hyderabad show is part of Diljit Dosanjh’s Dil-Luminati Tour, which spans 10 cities across India. The tour began in Delhi in October, with stops planned in Ahmedabad and Guwahati, where he will conclude the India leg on December 29.

Despite the restrictions, Diljit has managed to keep his performances engaging and crowd-pleasing, demonstrating his ability to adapt and entertain under any circumstances.
