Actors Nara Rohit and Siree Leela got engaged in a grand ceremony in Hyderabad on October 13, with close family, friends, and several notable personalities in attendance. The engagement was held at the luxurious Novotel hotel, where the couple’s loved ones gathered to celebrate their union.
Nara Rohit, the nephew of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, and his Prathinidhi 2 co-star Siree Leela exchanged rings in the presence of prominent figures, including the CM and veteran actor-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna. Several members of the Nara and Nandamuri families, including politician Nara Lokesh and his wife Brahmani, were also present at the event.
A Grand Celebration
The engagement ceremony was captured by photographer RVR PRO, who shared glimpses of the joyous occasion on social media. Nara Rohit looked elegant in a cream kurta, while Siree Leela stunned in a traditional red and gold silk saree. In the pictures, the couple is seen smiling and embracing as they posed for photos, radiating happiness.
Videos of Chandrababu Naidu and Balakrishna arriving at the venue were shared by paparazzi. Balakrishna opted for a stylish blue and gold kurta for the event, adding to the festive atmosphere.
A Low-Key Love Story
While Nara Rohit and Siree Leela have mostly kept their relationship private, their love story blossomed on the sets of Prathinidhi 2, where they first worked together. Siree, who recently returned to India after completing her studies abroad, spoke about her admiration for Rohit during the promotion of the film. She shared, “When I first met him on set, I thought he was so good, looked so innocent. We became good friends. I like Rohit and his movies a lot.”
The couple’s courtship remained out of the public eye until their engagement, which has now become a much-discussed event in Tollywood.
Siree Leela’s Journey to Acting
Siree Leela, who starred alongside Nara Rohit in Prathinidhi 2 earlier this year, has been candid about her passion for acting. In a previous interview, she mentioned her determination to pursue a career in films despite her parents’ wishes for her to settle down. “I’ve always wanted to act in films. But my typical Telugu parents wanted me to get married. I asked them for two years because I didn’t want to regret not following my passion. I did lots of auditions and now, I’m lucky to be working with Rohit in my first film.”
