Govinda Recalls Frightening Gun Misfire Incident, Describes Seeing a "Fountain of Blood"

Bollywood star Govinda, recently discharged from the hospital, has opened up about a harrowing accident involving his licensed gun, which misfired and left him injured. The incident occurred while the actor was organizing his closet, causing a loaded gun to discharge accidentally and shoot him in the foot.

Speaking to the media outside the hospital, Govinda, who was seated in a wheelchair, expressed his gratitude for the outpouring of love and support. “I thank everyone from the country for their love, prayers, and support. Special thanks to the administration, police, and the honorable Shinde Ji. Your blessings have kept me safe. Thank you so much for your love. Jai Mata Di!” the actor said.

Recalling the Accident

Govinda recounted the shocking moment of the accident, saying, “It was a deep injury, and when it happened, I could not believe it. I was leaving for a show in Kolkata early in the morning around 5… woh giri aur chal padi (it fell and misfired)… I was stunned and then saw a fountain of blood coming out.”

He explained that the incident occurred as he was preparing for his trip to Kolkata. The actor was in the process of organizing his closet when the gun, which had a broken lock, misfired. At the time, six bullets were loaded in the weapon, and one discharged into his foot.

Govinda was rushed to a hospital in Juhu immediately after the incident. His doctor was present during the entire ordeal, ensuring the actor received prompt medical care.

The Aftermath

Despite the severity of the injury, Govinda appeared calm and thankful for the medical attention and support he received. While no further details have been provided about his recovery process, the actor’s fans have been sending their well-wishes, hoping for his speedy recovery.
