Rahul Vaidya Diagnosed with Dengue Amid Ganesh Chaturthi Celebrations, Cancels Festive Plans

Singer Rahul Vaidya, known for his appearances in Bigg Boss 14 and Khatron Ke Khiladi, has revealed that he has been diagnosed with dengue. The news comes during the Ganesh Chaturthi festivities, a time Rahul and his family usually celebrate with great enthusiasm. However, due to his illness, the singer has had to cancel his plans for this year.

Health Update

On Friday, Rahul took to Instagram to update his fans about his health. He posted a selfie while battling a high fever of 104°F, later confirming his diagnosis with a simple caption, “Dengue!” The singer, who typically celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi with a five-day ritual at home, expressed disappointment over having to skip the festival this year due to his health condition.

The Importance of Ganesh Chaturthi in Rahul’s Life

For Rahul, Ganesh Chaturthi holds a special place. Last year, the festival coincided with the arrival of his daughter, Navya, who was born to him and his wife, actor Disha Parmar. The festival was even more meaningful, as it marked the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

In a 2023 interview with Hindustan Times, Rahul shared his excitement for the festival and the upcoming birth of his daughter. “I’m bringing Bappa home this time as well, like every year. And this year, it is more special because my baby is also going to arrive around the same time,” Rahul had said. His daughter was born on September 20, 2023, adding a layer of personal significance to the festival.

Rahul Vaidya’s Family Life

Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar, who started dating before Bigg Boss 14, tied the knot in 2021. The couple welcomed their daughter, Navya, last September. Sharing the joyful news on Instagram, Rahul wrote, “23rd September 2023 will be the most special day in our lives! Couldn’t have asked for a better birthday when the wife and baby came home. Is saal Ganesh Chaturthi mein hamare ghar Laxmi ji aayi hain (This year Goddess Laxmi came to our house on Ganesh Chaturthi).”
