Sudhanshu Pandey Dismisses Rumored Rift with Anupamaa Co-Star Rupali Ganguly: "No Point in Giving Attention"

Actor Sudhanshu Pandey, who recently announced his departure from the popular television show Anupamaa, has addressed rumors of a rift between him and his co-star Rupali Ganguly. In a candid conversation with Indian Express, Sudhanshu dismissed the speculation, stating that such rumors are baseless and not worth acknowledging.

“Actually, yeh sab cheezein hoti hai, khaali dimaag ke wajeh se hoti hai (all these things happen because people speak without thinking). Where do these rumors come from? I don’t understand. Iska koi wajood nahi hota hai (there is no substance to it). Indulging in these discussions is like wasting your time. There is absolutely no point in even giving attention to such rumors,” Sudhanshu said, emphasizing his decision to ignore the gossip surrounding his exit from the show.

Sudhanshu, who played the role of Vanraj Shah in Anupamaa, took to Instagram to share the news of his departure. “For the past four years, I have been connecting with all of you through a daily soap opera, for which I have received a lot of love and also some hatred. But then again, hate is a form of love too. If you all had not disliked my character so much, I would have felt that I was not portraying it properly,” he wrote.

Reflecting on his exit, Sudhanshu expressed his gratitude towards his audience and acknowledged the emotional difficulty of leaving the show. “It is with a heavy heart that I want to inform all of you that I am no longer part of the show Anupamaa. I have been missing from the show since the Raksha Bandhan episode. I felt it was my responsibility to let my audience know about this. However, we all must move forward in our lives. I ask for your support in my future works,” he added.

Anupamaa, which first aired on July 13, 2020, has been a major success and continues to be one of the top-rated television shows in India. Directed by Romesh Kalra, the series also streams on Disney+ Hotstar and is the official Hindi remake of Star Jalsha’s Bengali series Sreemoyee. The show features an ensemble cast including Rupali Ganguly in the titular role, alongside Madalsa Sharma and Gaurav Khanna.

Sudhanshu Pandey’s portrayal of Vanraj Shah earned him both praise and criticism, contributing to the show’s widespread popularity. As he steps away from the show, his fans eagerly await his next project, while Anupamaa continues to engage audiences with its compelling storyline.
