Gurucharan Singh Returns to Mumbai After Month-Long Absence; Addresses Taarak Mehta Payment Dues

Gurucharan Singh, known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular television sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, made headlines recently after returning to Mumbai following an unexpected absence. The actor had gone missing on April 22 this year from Delhi, where he was reportedly visiting his family. He reappeared nearly a month later, sparking concerns and speculations about his whereabouts.

Upon his return to Mumbai, Gurucharan Singh was spotted at the airport accompanied by his pet, sporting a casual floral shirt and black pants, carrying a backpack. Amidst queries from paparazzi, the actor briefly addressed his absence and the lingering question of pending payments from the Taarak Mehta production team.

In a video shared on social media, when asked about the payment dues, Gurucharan Singh responded, “Yes, they have cleared almost everyone’s payment. I don’t know about some, that I’ll have to ask.” His statement hinted at ongoing financial issues between him and the show’s producers, though he did not elaborate further.

Responding to queries about his return to Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Gurucharan Singh remained uncertain, stating, “God knows. I don’t know anything. As soon as I get to know, I will tell you guys.” His ambiguous response left fans and media alike speculating on whether he would resume his iconic role on the long-running television series.

Earlier reports from Delhi Police had indicated that Gurucharan Singh had embarked on a “spiritual journey” due to personal and professional challenges. Upon his reappearance, a judicial statement was recorded detailing his reasons for the sudden departure and subsequent return. The actor’s father had filed a missing person report when Gurucharan failed to return to Mumbai as scheduled, raising concerns among his family and colleagues in the entertainment industry.

Gurucharan Singh, who gained fame for portraying the lovable Roshan Singh Sodhi on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, had previously left the show several years ago after a successful stint. His recent absence and subsequent reappearance have once again thrust him into the spotlight, prompting discussions about his personal life and professional commitments.
